The core of education is not just the transfer of knowledge but the sharing of ideas and methods. It is my mission to bring out the full potential in each student and develop his/her character and enthusiasm for learning.
As an educator, I look forward to becoming not only an effective teacher but a friend to the students. I desire to instill knowledge, good habits, and moral values into the lives of children.
“Those who only know how to learn will not be as effective in learning as those who enjoy learning.”
Curiosity is the basis for proactive learning which results in academic success. Through books, videos, and other mediums, we can stimulate a child’s interest and passion in learning Chinese.
One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students as I share my own passion for learning with them. In our competitive society, it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be a good educator for my students.
A good teacher cannot begin or continue to inspire learning without being a learner. A good teacher must constantly learn what is new in the discipline. I believe a teacher lives to serve. A teacher is dedicated to learning, to his or her discipline, to his or her students, and to making the future the best possible place for all of us to live. These are the challenges I accepted when I chose to be a teacher and I remain committed to them.
Wisdom begins in admitting one’s ignorance. Wisdom then, if used rightly and for the right purpose makes a better world; my role as a teacher will be to assist each child materialize that kind of world.
